Magnesium Citrate is composed of magnesium and citric acid, being a very bio-available form of magnesium, it is easier to digest and better absorbed than other forms.
The adult organism contains about 20 g of magnesium, which is involved in more than 300 enzymatic reactions.
Magnesium has numerous functions in the human body.
To summarize, magnesium forms part of tissues, muscles, bones and nerve cells. It intervenes in muscle contraction and relaxation, it is important for the synthesis of proteins, RNA, DNA, energy molecules and ATP, and in the synthesis of enzymes and other molecules that intervene in metabolic processes.
Its deficit in the body causes restlessness, nervousness, irritability, lack of concentration, fatigue, general feeling of weakness, headache, arrhythmias and muscle cramps.
