Lutein is a carotinoid of plant origin, which is enriched in the macula of the human retina and protects photoreceptor cells against light short wavelength and free radicals.
Recognized for its protective function of the eyes and vision, as it can reduce by 40% the incidence of harmful light to the retina, in addition to filtering the blue light that is harmful to the macula (small structure of the retina responsible for detail vision).
It plays an important role in promoting and protecting age-related eye health.
Helps maintain normal visual functions, improves the optical density of the macular pigment.
With advancing age there is a propensity for lutein reduction of ocular tissues, which allows the emergence of some diseases.
Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
