L-Lysine is an essential amino acid in its free form, with a simple formula for the body to absorb.
L-Lysine acid is suitable for dietary treatment of oral herpes, having impact on the level of the immune system.
Clinical trials show that a daily intake of 2x 500 mg L-Lysine causes oral herpes symptoms to disappear more quickly, having a less pronounced period and the relapse rate is significantly reduced.
It also promotes increased absorption and retention of calcium, which is critical for bone health.

Another important aspect of L-Lysine is its role in the metabolism of carnitine.
